The meeting was called to order by Steve Evans, vice president. It was announced that Anita Singleton has retired and that Steve as vice president has stepped into the position of acting president for the group at this time.

Meeting minutes from the last meeting were read and accepted with the following change or addition: the meetings will be held monthly but voting meetings will be held quarterly.

Old Business

Executive assistant has been hired and is David McCool. His current project is the website and will be working with Lynn Meredith. An updated contact list for members is requested at this time. The position held by David will be a contract position per project and the executive board will establish the job description and wage per project. Motion was made on the above and it was seconded and passed unanimously.

It was further discussed that the deadline in regards to using Lynn Meredith/Jeff Triplett at Fast Freedom to be Feb. 1 as there has been considerable delay and unreliability with getting the training and the site launched. No contract has been signed and little or no service has been received even though much has been supplied by our board in this effort. So, if this doesn’t go through, the board will pursue a contract with Linda Gruber’s son, Eric, who has experience and speed and will present us with a contact post haste.

Audit committee is in progress nothing to report at this time.

Nominating committee is in progress. New officers will be voted in and take over in March/April.

Education with monthly meetings comes big responsibility. Discussion should this be a separate board position or continue to remain as a responsibility of the vice president. A motion was made to continue it in the job description of vice president and that Julie Hawks be nominated to take over this position. She agreed. She was nominated, voted on and greated unanimously as the new acting vice president and educational coordinator of 4-State APN.
