The 4 State APN chapter met on April 27th at Wilder's . A medical program on Diabetes Updates was presented by Melanie Sutton NP,CDE.

The business meeting was called to order by Co-Chairs Loana Evans and Lee Rodriquez. Plans have been made for medical speakers each month with our quarterly business meetings to be neld in July and October with a speaker presentation. Upcoming events include May 18th Dr. Andrews, June 15th Dr. Warner, and July business meeting Dr. Turner.

Susan Pumphrey, Treasurer gave the treasurer's report stating our current balance of $2,013.02. She also encouraged everyone to submit dues, due in April.

The March minutes were read by Linda Gruber. A FNP position for the Rural Health Clinic in Anderson, MO was noted and interested persons should submit a resume to Elk River Health Services, Inc. Attn:Vicki, PO 160, Southwest City, MO 64863. Members are encouraged to send addresses or email changes to Linda Gruber, Secretary.

Old Business; Kip Davis reported on the upcoming legislation regarding Senate Bill #556 and #566 regarding Controlled Substances. Kip is also the AANP State Representative and would appreciate any support from NP's and Nurses

New Business: Sandra Richardson volunteered to head program committee for the Spring conference to be held March 6th 2007. She would welcome anyone who would like to help form the program.

The National AANP meeting will be held June 19-24 in Grapevine, Texas.

We acknowledge and Congratulate Nancy Willis-Smith as the Missouri State Recepient of the Nursing Award in Excellence. We also Congratulate the Freeman Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Marilyn Jacobs and to Cathy Banes as the Advance Practitice Nurse recepient.
